When I first started blogging I had 7 domains!
I was planning on doing 7 different niches on each blog and I thought about “Health Matters” and the “Love Sex Marriage” blogs. And although I do have passions doing these blogs, I have to drop both of them because 2-3 blogs for me is too much to handle! Steve Scott’s said, you can make 6-figure income in just ONE blog and just ONE niche.
So yeah, I have been reading Steve Scott’s ebook: Marketing Without the Bullsh**t. And these are what I have learned so far. The “big four” of Internet marketing.
Adrienne Smith told me, if you have established the traffic in your first blog then maybe starting a second one is not such a bad idea. So yeah…no need of two blogs. Just one. And some of the niches that you might want to consider are the following. Here’s what Steve Scott said:
“Another idea is to go after what I call the ‘big four’ of Internet marketing. These are massive markets that’ll be profitable until the end of time. They are health, wealth, relationships, and passions.”
Well, let’s break this down and look more into it, shall we?
- HEALTH = This includes on how we look and how we feel like for instance: losing weight, gaining muscle, stop smoking, being more physically attractive, etc.
- WEALTH = This type of niche is centered on our financial success including making money, earning passive income, investing, saving money, and career advice.
- RELATIONSHIPS = This one is about interpersonal relationship people have with one another including dating, break-ups, how to improve your social status, and sexuality.
- PASSIONS = This is a pretty broad niche. Here you concentrate on hobbies and activities that people enjoy on a regular basis including things like golfing, gaming, gardening, cooking, surfing, and much more!
So why are these 4 niches? Because all four of them concerns fundamental emotions. Many centuries ago, your great-great grandfather wanted to make money, find love, feel healthy, and do what they are passionate about. Steve Scott said, “I guarantee one hundred years from now your great-great-grandchild will have the same concerns.”
Currently, I just bought my daughter a new domain. And I asked her, “So what are you going to blog about?” She said, “I just want to blog about my thoughts but mainly, I love fashion!” There goes! I told her that if you’re going to blog, be yourself. But do not overdo it and write something like, “I’m planning to plant a bomb in his house!” Or something malicious. Yes, be yourself. But what it really means is write as you speak. Focus on just ONE niche!
Scott’s ebook has 8 module and I’m only on #2 module. There’s a lot to absorb here. And I’m more than happy to share what I’ve learned and of course, I will definitely apply these in my business. Let us learn together. Tell me your marketing strategy. Did it work for you? Are you seeing good results from it and do you earn a good revenue. Tell me more!
So where do you think your niche fall on what category? I would love to hear what you have to say about your blog and what is it all about. Are you concentrating on just one blog or are you the type who likes to have more than 2 blogs at a time. Feel free to use the comments below.
