Gone were the days when we used to use the Instamatic camera. I remember you have to wait for hours before one of these shows up. Those were the days when we used to develop photos and hang them in the dark room. The chemicals stinks and it’s horrible to work in the dark room specially in the summer time.
Photos have gone cheaper since the digital era. They used to cost a fortune. Now, it’s a different story. Even the digital photos online you can get them free without royalties or copyright.
When I first started blogging, I didn’t know any better. I spent over $100 on just photo stocks alone. The $25 and $35 here and there can go pretty quickly. I wish I knew these places before I spent so much money on just photos. Anyway, now you can get them FREE for your blog.
…and so speaking of photos, you think you can just take photos on the Internet and not care where it came from. Beware, you can get in a lot of trouble if you just randomly pick a photo on the Internet and use it on your blog without giving the owner the courtesy or link back to their blog or social media.
Get free photos and images at:
Freepik is a great place! They have tons of freebies. However, on Flickr here is how it works. If you use a photo make sure you said on your post, “In courtesy of: Name Of Owner”. And if they have a website, you might want to include that too. You can either do that on your note or enblem that on the photo per se. I have never really use photobucket but I think their “courtesy” usage is the same with Flickr.
If you think they are free photos and images…
Taking them without permission is infringement of copyright. Without giving the author or owner the credit that he/she needs you are walking on FIRE my friend. Better do the right thing or else…
Anyway, I hope the three links I have given you helps. Freepik and Flickr are my favorite places to go whenever I’m in need of a photo for my blog. You might wanna try them and see!
…and so where do you get your photos and images on your blog? Do you know any other site that has FREE copyright and royalties? If you do, please share it with us and comment below.
