How do you change your gravatar?
First you must create your gravatar here: http://en.gravatar.com. Once you created your gravatar, it will look like the image I have above. You will have your public email. Your contact information below that email like: AIM, ICQ, Gtalk, Skype, etc. You can change it to whatever you prefer. To change the picture next to the comment is a gravatar and this link will explain to you more: http://codex.wordpress.org/How_to_Use_Gravatars_in_WordPress.
When I first started blogging on WordPress, I didn’t understand how this gravatar really works. I had a free wordpress blog and I created my gravatar here: http://en.gravatar.com/angeld0ve . And it was fine when I was blogging there and when I make comment on someone’s post, people could see my photo. But when I installed my own wordpress in my own domain, things changed around. I didn’t understand how this works. And so my friend Joy Healey, helped me. She gave me the link above and I followed the instruction.
One thing, you have to remember to change your email address in all of your wordpress blogs to that “public email” you are showing in your gravatar’s profile. To make your photo gravatar appear in all of your comments you need to go to your blog’s dashboard. Then go to: Users. When you hover your mouse under Username, underneath says “Edit.” Click on Edit and under Contact Info there’s a window for Email required, enter that “public email” you used from your gravatar’s profile and WALLA!!!!! PRESTO!!!!!! and the job is DONE. Anyway, Enjoy your blog and hope this post helps a lot of those who were confused about using their gravatar. Have a great day!
