Hello everyone, this is Angela from angelamccall.com. Today, I wanted to talk about how to create a border in Photoshop, Part 2. So, I’m going to go ahead and call up my original. Create a nice square inside. Select. Inverse. Select. Modify. Select Feather. I have 100 there that looks pretty good to me. Okay.
So it rounds the corner inside.
Go to Image. Brightness. You can put this dark. Dark or you want the border lighter. You can do that also. You can do the opposite. Lets put it on dark for now. Okay. Not dark enough? Go back to Image. Brightness and Contrast. And do a second adjustment of the border. Okay. So now you have very dark border on your photo.
Another way of creating a border is selecting “Border” by itself instead of choosing “Feather” I would choose – Border. So lets go ahead and create a square inside. The same procedure…go to Select. Inverse. I’m going to round the border inside – so I’ll go to Feather, one hundred (100). I’ll go back to Select. Modify. And choose BORDER this time. Now notice gives you a width, you can put any number that looks good on your photo. Thirty (30) is good for me. So I’ll go ahead and click – Okay.
Go back to Image. Brightness. Contrast. And then make it dark. Okay. And there is I have a double border. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this tutorial video. I’ll see you next time.
