I just want you to know that Hostgator read my post here and after reading my post they sent me a friendly email. I’m pretty impress that they care about what I think. Although some people in the WordPress Experts community at Linkedin still continue to have problems with Hostgator, some said being too slow and/or being down…I made a note there that I am sticking up with Hostgator and give this the benefit of the doubt.
I did a little bit of research on some of the details with Hostgator and some of the stuff I found, there had been some problems way back then even before they were owned by EIG. Every company have encountered some problems. So… I hear bad things about GoDaddy. I hear bad things about Bluehost…etc., etc.
I’d say, “Believe only half of what you hear.” If the hosting service owned by EIG is not giving you a problem, I’d say stay where you are.
Some are having a problem. Some do not. What can I say? You’ll be the judge and read the letter below. The only thing I can say is they do care about “customer service.”
Good Afternoon Angela,
We’ve recently noticed your post via Twitter (https://twitter.com/
Although it is certainly the case that we are now owned by EIG, the structure of our company and the customer service we strive to provide has not wavered. As strong customer service is one of the main reasons EIG became interested in backing us, they have not imposed any sort of changes that have redirected the philosophy of our staff or our goal to continue to provide the best support in the industry.
From the post I do see that you’ve had a chance to read reactions from other users, however I also saw the note clarifying you did not personally have any poor experiences. To confirm, I’ve looked through your support tickets which seem to indicate a minimal amount of trouble following our purchase with no serious customer service issues apparent. As such, I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you to determine if you basing the need to move hosts strictly off other reviews or if there was in fact some area where our services or support did not meet your expectations. We will greatly appreciate hearing back from you on your concerns and how we may best address these matters to keep up our working relationship with you indefinitely into the future.
We thank you for taking time to speak with us and will look forward to hearing back from you soon.
