Are you scared of blogging or are you scared of working?
If you are scared of working, then I can’t help you much on this one because blogging requires amount of great work. To start a blog is easy. To maintain a blog and keep the traffic going is challenging. However, once you get the traffic going and socializing with your friends and readers, the fun starts to roll in.
You will meet incredible people in your life. Although you have never met before in person, you will find out there are tons of beautiful people out there. This is the beauty of the Internet. You can travel anywhere in the world without hopping in the plane and meet some of the most wonderful people on planet earth.
So are you ready? If you are ready then hop in and further on your reading…
Who will read me any way!
Some of my friends said to me that they want to start their own blog but is afraid of the thought, “Who will read me any way!” Ah, if you write quality content, people will read you all the time. However, starting a blog is like starting your new store in the block. Nobody knows you until you advertise that “Hey, I’m here! I exist.”
First your friends and family will come around. And then they tell their friends. Their friends will tell 10 of their friends. And their friends of friends will tell 10 more of their friends. That’s how the word becomes viral. It’s like a gossip. But this is better than gossip. In fact, this is the ONLY gossip I want to go on viral. When others tell about your business, your existence becomes more prominent. People will announce what great product you have. Same approach in blogging.
But how do you develop a great product?
You are the product. As you become more familiar with your niche, you evolve in writing. Even if you’re selling a book, do you think that is your ultimate product? Your product is you and you are constantly selling yourself behind this book. Notice when 2 people sell the same book and the first guy makes more than the second guy. Why? They are selling the same book. But why is the other sales higher than the other? It is your personality that people like. It is that charisma and charm or whatever people like about you, it is you the ultimate product.
What do I write?
I will answer your question with a question. What are you passionate about? What is that one thing you want to talk about or write about. If this is about talking your daily life, fine. I’m not sure if this is a great start for blogging and monetization. Perhaps it works with some other people and I could be wrong. You can bring other bloggers that way who have the same niche and the same activity that you are doing. But say you want to be a professional blogger. Dictionary says:
a Web site on which an individual or group of users produces an ongoing narrative : Most of his work colleagues were unaware of his blog until recently.
I thought I’d look it up and just show you that it is an ongoing narrative writing of some sort. Whether this is about computer technology, giving away gadgets, gardening, golfing, love and relationships, and so forth…it is about sharing your thoughts with others. Some people blog because they are compelled to share information that would help others solve their problems. That’s a great one! Something you can write about that can help others.
4 Important Elements of Blogging
We all heard people say, “Patience is the greatest virtue!” The best things in life happens to those who wait. When you are patient, it produces deep structure and an even-keeled emotion. Your action is based on logic and not just based on your feelings. You are not anxious about anything but wait to see what is about to happen. When you are patient, you evolve to something bigger than yourself. Patience is an action word because when you wait you are serene and in controlled of your emotion. To get angry and scream are easier to do than to remain calm, cool, and collected. It takes wisdom to make this action.
Without dedication even if you’re patient, blogging cannot be done. You must have a strong desire that this is what you want to do and someone is not twisting your arm and making you do it. If this is your attitude and the way you behave, you are going nowhere. Your dedication at work is what will impress your boss the most. Your boss can ease himself because he knows that his employee is dedicated to his work. Well…in blogging it is the same attitude that you should have.
Take the german shepherd dog for instance. This dog is the only canine that is willing to put his life before you and take the bullet on his chest. What a great dedication of a dog to his master. This is the kind of commitment I’m talking about. You are dedicated for life.
Without consistency the existence of your blog is almost impossible. Consistency is very important because you cannot blog for one day and all of a sudden you are gone the next day. You will only create havoc and disruption amoung your readers. Your readers are going to think you are very inconsistent and unreliable. And this is equivalent to distrust. What you need is establish trust amoung your peers and readers. Show them that you are someone they can depend on and who will stay for a long time.
For instance, if you are posting once or twice a week, let it be. Create a consistent environment for yourself as much as for your readers. Your readers will expect your posts in a consistent manner. No guessing. They know when to expect your posts. They know that you are serious about your blog and that you are not going to disappear in 6 months!
When you set your goal, you need determination to accomplish it. Without determination you are doomed. When things are going rough and tough, you must be bigger than the world itself. How are you going to accomplish that? Some people accomplished it by relying on their positive thinking or even better–relying on their Higher Power.
Set a short term goal or your long term goal. Like a marathon runner, they have a goal to reach. This will motivate you to work further and become determine to finish that line.
I believe that those who wins never stops. And those who stops never wins!
If you have been blogging…let say for 4 months…and you haven’t seen the money coming in yet, would you still keep on blogging? In the winners world, the world failure doesn’t even exist. Rather it is a journey that they take and must pass through in order to reach that Success land.
I remember when the kids were small, we used to watch the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy, tinman, scarecrow, and the lion starts wandering in the yellow brick road and they all want something. To meet the Wizard of Oz and asked what their heart desires.

…on their way to see the Wizard of Oz, they ALL met the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch. On the yellow brick road they’ve encountered the good and the bad. They’ve experience the negative and positive outcome. It was definitely one heck of a journey. But despite of all that, they swallowed their fear and took that one step. The step towards achieving their true heart desires! You can do the same thing in blogging.
Anybody can blog…
If you have something to say, you can blog it. If you have the voice to say it, you can blog it. It’s like writing your own voice. That’s what makes you unique. Write in the way you understand it. Write it how you see it. Do you have an experience you think might help other people? Blog it. That’s how it starts. Start it here. Right now. Do not procastinate. Blogging is still in the stage of infancy. If you wait for more years, you might have been left behind. Don’t have that vain regrets of, “I should have done it a long time ago!” Like me, when I stopped blogging and went back to school…have I continued what I was doing then, I could have been making a regular revenue from blogging by now.
