From my last post here I love Friends+Me and DoShare together because it is user friendly. But I was terribly confused how to use the hashtags and so I thought I’d create another post about this and a video.
I did my best to show you “How to use Friends+Me” combined with DoShare in your Chrome.
NOTE: There’s a little error happened here. When I clicked DoShare icon, the image suppose to show up but it didn’t show. Just want to tell you that there was a “glitch” while I was showing you on the video.
A friend asked me if Friends+Me included analytics and when I asked Friends+Me, he said that they haven’t implemented that one yet but perhaps in the future they will. But let me show you here, this timeline page looks like the short analytics of some sort. You can see which social media on the bottom right hand side are being shared.
This is the source networks page. So far you can see I have 3 of them on the left. I have added 2 pages in my Google+ so I can demonstrate to you that you can add as many page as you like here. However…
You can only add 1 page from Google+ (your default) on your Friends+Me FREE account. But if you have the Standard account (like I do), you can add up to 3 pages in your source networks. I believe the Unlimited account gives you the unlimited amount of source networks and your destination networks can be unlimited as well.
Some of us have more than one page on Facebook or Linkedin besides your default (personal) page. So that’s what I meant when I said your “destination networks.” So this is really good if you have a lot of social media. EDIT: The application Friends+Me is only going to get better since this is still on BETA, I believe that they will add more social media in the future (i.e. Pinterest).
Here is the window where you can create your own hashtag. You can put #personal there for all of your personal social media. Or you can put #business for all of your business social media.
However you like it. Have it your way! It’s so easy to use. Once you figure it out, it is like a breeze…I love it. I love how easy it is for me to use!
Here’s how I created mine:
#F = stands for Facebook
#FB = stands for Facebook (fan page)
#L = stands for Linkedin
#T = stands for Twitter
#U = stands for Tumblr
#PERSONAL = include only my personal Facebook profile
#BUSINESS = Facebook (fan page), Tumblr, Twitter, and Linkedin
NOTE: However, there is one thing you need to know. Say you post an image and you included hashtags of #F and #U on your post. When I experimented on this one, it only posted one on my Facebook but not on my Tumblr. I think it is the glitch. Or maybe this is something that’s need to get fixed in the future. So if you put two hashtags combined together, it won’t post at the same social media but only one will get posted.
If you don’t understand anything, please do not hesitate to ask me questions. Leave me a comment and I will explain to the best of my knowledge. Thank you. Hope you have a blessed weekend.
