Rachel and I went shopping. We took Scarlett with us. We put her in the stroller and she was happy for 3 hours while we were shopping for clothes. I wanted to find a new top for tomorrow’s filming. A top that would look good on my blazer when I go and see a client. I didn’t want to look like I’m going to church and so I want to look casual and yet still look professional. So while walking in the mall, this girl pulled us and Rachel got this “hair demo” with the hair straightener called “royale professional straightener iron.” She said it’s a 5-star in Europe. I wasn’t planning in spending too much but I end up buying this expensive hair straightener. I don’t put make up when I go out, just foundation and a little eye shadow. No lipstick. No mascara. I wanna look very simple. But my hair…my hair just got to look right.
BTW, while she was doing a demo on Rachel’s hair she asked Rachel, “So, is she your friend?” Rachel said, “No, she’s my mom!!” Then she said, “WHAT!!!? Really?” Aaaawwwww…just gotta love her. Or, she could be saying that so we could buy this hair straightener. LOL!!!
After buying the hair straightener, I asked Rachel if she wanted to eat sushi and so we went to the mall’s restaurant. There are tons of restaurants here like mexican, chinese, japanese, american, you name it! It’s been awhile since me and Rachel went here and so it was exciting!
Then we went to Charlotte Russe, I didn’t find what I was looking there. But I found a black sweater that I always like. So I got that one. Then we went to Forever 21, I shoot this photo there! Brainstorming for what kind of top I should get for my blazer. I like this top but I don’t think it would go for meeting a client. It’s a good top like if I’m gonna go out on a date with my husband. I tried the top but when I put it on, I really didn’t like it on me. It looks good on the rack but it didn’t look good on me. We did so many things…I almost forgot the chocolate…
So, although it isn’t Valentine’s Day yet, I got hubby some chocolate from See’s Candies, the only chocolate he would eat. This is also my favorite chocolate! Hubby said, “It’s not Valentine’s yet.” Yeah. Right. But when do I get to go out? I know that I’m going to be busy for the next 2 days and so I might as well get this over with. On Friday, I’m meeting a girlfriend for lunch @ Denny’s Restaurant. Then Friday night, I have a date with hubby to see the Valentine’s concert!
When we got home, I washed my hair with the FREE shampoo & conditioner this girl gave us when we got that hair demo. She threw a couple of goodies in our bag because we just spent a fortune with 2 hair straighteners. One for me and one for Rachel. Like I said, I don’t put a ton of make up on my face. Just foundation and a little eye shadow. No lipstick. No mascara. That’s it. And so, since I don’t give a lot of attention to my face, my hair just got to look right when I go out.
Tomorrow, we are going to continue to film for the “Freelancer” story with Juanita Stevenson, the black reporter from Central Valley Works which airs on KFSN-TV ABC30. We’re meeting her @ the Fresno Adventist Academy. I’m just going to talk to the principal about my business and Juanita wants to film a little about that to include in her story. And that’s the reason why I was shopping for a new top but unfortunately, didn’t find the top that I wanted. So instead I bought a brand new hair straightener, just to look good in front of the camera!
